Description
The JRS-Engine is an internal combustion engine, known within the discipline as a rotary engine.

The main features of this concept are:
- Optimum ratio between intake stroke/power stroke volume (1: 3 bij λ = 1 : 20);
- Very high compression ratio (λ > 1 : 20);
- Relatively low acceleration/deceleration forces;
- Direct fuel injection in a large number of minuscule spherical combustion chambers, with auto-ignition of fuel;
- Direct fuel injection into combustion chambers by multi-gate injector for homogeneous atomization (λ = 1);
- Output power control by varying the number of combustion chambers in which injection occurs/does not occur;
- Thermal losses are limited by insulating the hot-spots (combustion cores) of the minuscule spherical combustion chambers with the help of surrounding air, thermal insulation of the engine and minimum internal turbulence;
- The intake chamber does not come into contact with hot combustion gases, and in contrast to the rest of the engine the chamber is not insulated but cooled;
- The engine can run on petrol, diesel and 2nd-, 3rd- and 4th-Generation BioFuels without structural modifications. Within the discipline this type of engine is known as a Multi-fuel Engine.
